Family or Day Care Celebrations
An opportunity to share songs (traditional, contemporary, mixed ethnic, favorite family standards, and some original tunes) for mixed ages, intergenerational. Stories and art projects may be incorporated if scheduling permits. A large variety of instruments and props will be utilized, such as, boomwhackers, parachutes, bath scrunchy "snowballs," scarves, puppets, ribbon streamers, rolling balls, ElastaBlast, and squeakies.
Sing-A-Longs for Seniors - Upbeat tunes and ballads from yesteryear (classic oldies, 30's and 40's, 50s and 60s) spanning several styles from minstrel, bluesy, easy listening, country, folk, spirituals, and pop, accompanied on guitar, banjitar, or mountain dulcimer. Participants have fun recalling who, when and where and singing is good exercise for the lungs, diaphragm, and vocal cords. Song sheets are provided in large print.
